“THE REALITY SHOW” HOSTED BY ‘THE DEEJ,” JOHN ENGHAUSER, DEBUTS ON KNRN-FM.COM, TUESDAY, JUNE 17, 7-10 P.M. ET

(NEW YORK, NY) – “The Reality Show” hosted by and featuring musician John Enghauser makes it debut tomorrow (Tuesday, June 17) from 7-10 p.m. Eastern Time on radio station KNRNFM.COM (listen live at http://www.knrnfm.com/). In addition to the show’s great music mix and upbeat conversation, listeners can chat with John (a/k/a/ ‘The Deej’) by signing up on http://www.justchat.org and then entering the chat at http://www.knrnfm.com.

Enghauser will spin an eclectic mix of progressive rock, funk, fusion and acid jazz with occasional live performances by John and guest artists in his New York City home studio (a la “Live From Daryl’s House”). John will also feature theme nights where he pays homage to select artists and genres. Themes will be advertised in advance on the KNRNFM.com calendar. A unique feature of the KNRNFM format is that all of their Disc Jockeys are on a web cam so you can see their video stream on their home page as you listen. There’s also a chat window right on the home page so you can chat with John and other listeners in their chat room for a more interactive experience.

“After doing a live performance on KNRN a couple of months ago, I was asked to be a guest deeJay and then the owner, Robert Rosas, offered me my own show,” explains Enghauser, who named the show after his critically-acclaimed 2013 album, Reality. “Rob is the owner and chief editor of The Pulse Magazine and a known entity in the industry. I was extremely honored but wasn’t sure if I had the time with my busy schedule. After much consideration, I’ve decided to go for it. After all, you only live once!”

-ABOUT JOHN ENGHAUSER-

Singer-songwriter-guitarist John Enghauser’s 2013 album Reality was nominated in the “Hot AC Album of the Year” category for the 2013 Los Angeles Music Awards. Enghauser won “Hot AC Album of the Year” at the 2009 LAMA’s for his critically-acclaimed Lost In The Pages.

Reality is perhaps John’s best work to date as he reaches new levels of songwriting mastery with with an eclectic song mix including “Keep Your Jacket On” featuring Kim DesChampes on steel guitar; the Steely Dan-esque “Tears of Yesterday” featuring the Rembrandt Horns; and the re-release of the prog-influenced “Tower”. Enghauser always surprises with something unexpected on each new album and Reality does not disappoint.

“Reality presents a wonderfully diverse range of hues and tones….Enghauser’s voice is equally as diverse and his guitar work is intricate, interesting, and flawless. Bundled all together, Reality presents a musical offering worthy of widespread radio exposure.”
BOOMEROCITY

“On Reality, Enghauser carries on with a cleaner sound that doesn’t sacrifice any of the grit and spunk that we have come to expect from him….clearly this is one singers-songwriter that can wear his heart on his sleeve without sounding run-of-the-mill.”
ROCKWIRED

“‘Black Dress’ is a strong, seductive rock song…standout title track ‘Reality’ takes a clever, satirical shot at reality TV…mid-tempo jazz-y ‘Tears of Yesterday’ is another example of Enghauser’s abilities as both a writer and performer.”
L.A. MUSIC EXAMINER

“In a world where musicians seem to be willing to follow what is commercially acceptable it’s always wonderful when a disc comes across your desk that is full of something different. ‘Reality,’ the latest release from singer/songwriter John Enghauser, is refreshing in its originality.”

-Artists Invited To Create Special Pieces Of Art From Freda’s Creations-

(Lexington, KY) – Lexington musician ellee ven and her charitable Give Into The Groove (GITG) foundation are proud and pleased to be part of the Floral Freeway Project Opening Reception honoring late Los Angeles-based entrepreneur Freda Kunin, At tribeca trunk in Lexington, Thursday, February 20, 2014. This event is in conjunction with the LexArts Gallery Hop the day after, Feb. 21. Kunin – sister of Jessica Kunin (a/k/a ellee ven) – was the longtime proprietor of respected online superstore FredaLA., which closed suddenly in 2011 when Freda was diagnosed with ALS. Freda passed away in 2012.

Esteemed local artists have been invited to showcase their original work and sell their creations, as well as to create special pieces incorporating a certain number of Kunin’s unique floral cuffs.

“Freda was a creative mind, an artist and friend to many other artists,” says Becky Neal Ochenkoski, owner/buyer of tribeca trunk and co-organizer of Floral Freeway Project. “BUT, most of all she was Jessica Kunin’s sister. Freda was also very much a part of GITG’s growth! She had hundreds of beautiful floral-designed bracelets delivered to her at a point where she wasn’t truly able to work at FredaLA anymore. Jessica has always thought it would be amazing for these small works of art to be re-purposed by artists into sculpture or on canvas, with a portion of the funds going to GITG.”
